If everyone would live like you are dancing now, our life would be nothing but an eternal party
You got a job and you're happy you've got all the money you ever wanted. But is that all to it? Sure, if you outsmart the system and learn your duties and responsibilities at work very fast (in the first 1-3 months), you can then do your job and not even feel you're at work. This is the perfect job: to work for fun and still focus on your own personal stuff (hobbies, relationship, friends, family), preferably while at work.
If you don't own material things and you are not dependent of them, you can move along in life any time with no problem. You can always drop anything you own and move forward.
Just pay attention when you acquire a new thing: camera, phone, car, furniture... you like to play with it a lot in the beginning, like you received a big toy from someone, and after a while you'll get bored and ignore it. If you continue to use it for a long time, then you can consider it useful (like a phone or laptop is). If not, you just wasted your money.
If you don't treasure material things, you can easily see who hangs around you for what you are or for what you own.
Besides, the imperfections of material things you can see everyday, and they get deeper, while facts, emotions and actions you can forgive and forget...
There are a lot of people leaving their childhood town. That's a big mistake. Home will always be where you grew up. And only home can give you inner peace. Always.
Here the basic list of things in your life between which should always be an equilibrium (inspired from Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, in no specific order):
- Think positive. Be a winner. Believe it.
- Sports. Even if you cannot be a nymph all the time, you can try normal work-out like soccer, volleyball, swimming, etc.
- Eat well. Take time with your food. No rush, please. After all, you are made from what you eat.
- Travel. Walk, cycle, climb or swim to new places every now and then. Explore & feel nature.
- Let yourself loose. Party. Get drunk. Get high. Dance. Until sunrise.
- Play. Act silly. Have fun. Meet new people. Only people can bring you to the ultimate state of happiness.
- Keep in touch. Maintain the people you love close to you. Make friends. Don't forget your family and the people that helped you during hard times. Never ever, under no circumstance ignore the people that were close to you at some time. Even if they disappointed you... You can punish them in some other way. Just don't ignore them for ever. Try to be human. If someone ignores you it's the biggest failure one can have...
- Relax. Get plenty of sleep. Listen to music. Go to the opera or theater. Give tender, love & care to your partner and expect to receive them back. Fuck. Like bunnies.
- Get a hobby. Or two. They will keep your mind far from your daily activities.
- Achieve. Work on projects that motivate and bring you satisfaction.
- Learn. Exercise your mind. Play chess, write an article, read a book & meditate on it, help your kid with the homework. Evolve.
- Get intimate. Plan and dedicate a lot of time to your partner: take walks, go shopping, cook or anything from the list above done just by the two of you!
If you analyze this list, you will notice that all these things can be achieved with or without money. I can assure you that all these things can be done with little or no money at all. This is the reason why a lot of poor or very poor people can achieve a much higher level of happiness than most rich people. Also, if you look around you, you'll see that most people put a lot of passion only in one or two of these things. Beware, you don't have to do drugs to become an addict! The key in life is to balance your passions.
You will always have some of these and some not: money, fuck buddies, social life, intelligence, self esteem, self control. Take all the random events in your life as signs. For example if you briefly mistake someone on the street or if you dream of someone... call them! They'll be more than happy to hear a friendly voice, even if you haven't talked for a while!
If you want to be relaxed and sleep tight every night, you should always have a backup plan for every aspect of your life: professional, sexual, emotional, friends, hobbies&activities, etc.
No money. No prejudice. No frills. No brands. Just live.
